We had babies!
We just finished up our incubator project. This was a combined math and science project. We placed 20 chicken eggs into the incubator and waited.. and waited and still waited for the eggs to hatch. They started to make sounds even before they hatched.. and then one by one .. poof they were running around inside the incubator. Out of 20 so far we have had 7 hatch... with more on the way. Students had the chance to learn about the development of the embryo and the process of a baby chick's development. We also kept track of the temp and the humidity level and next week we will turn that data into a graph... It was a great project and we all learned and had fun!
