OLD WEST FACT: Trees...

Trees are important to the Old West... just as they are today but perhaps in a little differnt way. In the old west you could not build really anything without wood! So trees were vital... plus you could not plant fields without first removing trees...

Cowboys would use wood to keep warm... build barns, fences... and other things needed on the ranch!
